What’s WRAS Certification?
WRAS stands for Scheme ng Advisory ng Tubig ng Tubig. Started in 1999, this UK crew checks if products (like valves) won’t mess up drinking water. It’s not a “must-have” everywhere, but in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland), you gotta use WRAS-approved stuff for water projects.
At BMAG, we’ve snagged multiple WRAS certs. Check out our BW-Q18 Double Valves (Cert. No. 240604010)—good until 2029! We test everything hard, so you don’t get leaks or nasty water.
How to Check if a Valve is WRAS-Approved
Easy-peasy:
- Go to WRAS’s website
- Click: Approvals Directory
- Type in the certificate number (like 240604010) or model (like BW-Q18).
- Confirm the current status—certificates alone aren’t proof; online validation is essential
